Using cables, ropes and wooden beams strung among trees
or poles, teams explore risk taking, leadership, communication,
problem-solving and coaching during this adventure, with a focus on
collaboration.
The low ropes elements are close to the ground so the perceived risk is low,
but still challenging to complete. Participants walk tightropes, negotiate
obstacles, climb walls, and pass teammates through a giant web.
Participants gradually expand their comfort zones (sometimes dramatically)
and recognize fears that may block personal and professional achievement.
Each challenge draws upon team members to actively support each other.
Our “Challenge-by-Choice” philosophy enables every participant to experience
their own success in the context of their own aspirations. Nobody will be
forced to do anything he/she does not want to do.
TEAM SAILING
Building a team that can adapt and succeed in an ever-changing environment
ensures your organization’s longevity. Team Sailing is a great analogy for
this practice—testing the winds, using their power when you can, tacking
when you can’t, and getting the whole team back to harbor.
Participants have the opportunity to practice different areas of
responsibility: at the helm, manning a winch or handling a line… then coach
their peers on new skills, share risk-taking (and mistake-handling) and
improve trust.
Back on shore, the team examines their communication patterns, leadership
styles, decision-making processes and overall team effectiveness.
WALL CLIMBING
The art and sport of climbing is one of the purest forms
of physical activity there is. Using physical strength and grace, mental
toughness, and a tool-kit of aids, climbers ascend A steep wall to attain
their goal.
