FOREIGN TOURIST OFFICES IN THE UNITED STATES
- If you're planning a meeting abroad, one of the best sources of information on
the country you're going to can be found at the foreign government tourist
offices that many countries have in the United States. These offices exist
to promote tourism in their countries and as such are an excellent source of
abundant FREE information. While the information and quality of information
provided varies from office to office, most supply tourist brochures with
information on hotels, restaurants and local attractions. Many will also
send you excellent maps and lists of events. In addition, the employees in
these tourist offices are often more than happy to answer specific questions
about their country and give you recommendations.
